ARC 407 - New Orleans
Bio-diesel Facility/School
Project Summary:
This course, which was focused around adaptable building systems, was split up into three main phases, the first of which involved each team developing a 2 x 3 x 3 bay building systems for humid, subtropical climates.
The second phase of the project required us to expand this system into a 50,000 sq. ft. complex placed on a 30-degree slope.
For the final phase of the project, we were given a program of a functioning Bio-diesel plant and educational facility and a specific site in New Orleans. The site was home to a condemned power plant which my partner and I decided to preserve to an extent and infill with our adaptable building system.
